Two Counties Beer Gala – September 25th – Leyton Orient Supporters Club BEER LIST INCLUDED

A night of 10+ beers, 6 different breweries and 2 different counties.

In celebration of Pete (Kent) and myself (Essex) contributing to the beer ordering team this season at Leyton Orient Supporters Club we present the Two Counties Beer Gala. A coming together of two counties to enjoy a selection of their beers. For team Essex we have beers from Billericay Brewing Co, Mighty Oak Brewing Co, Round Tower Brewery and Wibblers Brewery. For team Kent we have Bexley Brewery and Brew Buddies.

Doors open at 5pm, its free entry and £3.20 a pint.

Please note we cannot guarantee when these beers will be available but the beers on the night will be the following

Essex Beers
Billericay Brewing Co – Sun Corner Gold 3.9%
A golden beer with oily orange and lemon citrus peel. Light and refreshing but with a full body.

Billericay Brewing Co – Mild Bill 3.9%
A refreshing, dark mild ale made with British hops and a blend of four different malts.

Wibblers Brewery – Crafty Otter 4.3%
Crafty Otter is rich gold in colour and made with East Anglian Maris Otter malt with a touch of roasted Maris Otter that has been produced at the brewery. It has a malty base with a zesty hop finish.

Wibblers Brewery – Dengie Red 4%
Dengie Red is a 4% dark red ale brewed with English Challenger hops for bittering. It also has a stonking amount of US Columbus hops for flavour and for the aroma there is a of a touch of rye malt added to the brew, this makes Dengie Red a drinkable spicy nosed ale with hints of pine for an autumnal feel.

Mighty Oak – Sand Castle 4.4%
Sand Castle is a crystal clear pale wheat beer, with a tang to tingle your taste buds. Glorious summer quaffing beer to still be enjoyed in these later months!

Round Tower – Slipstream (Sherry cask Oak aged edition) 5.4%
Slipstream is a Black IPA, brewed with Ella and Galaxy hops from Australia, it is then dry hopped with loads of “C” hops from America. Expect big punchy bitter fruitiness. This batch is an exclusive oak aged version, which has been sitting in a sherry cask. It will be very interesting to see the beer take on some of the characteristics of the sherry cask.

Kent beers
Bexley Brewery – Howbry Golden Sovereign 3.7%
Part of Bexleys single brew craft ales “Howbry” range. Golden Sovereign is a pale golden ale, light and fresh tasting with fruity and floral aroma of Sovereign hops.

Bexley Brewery – Black Prince Porter 4.6%
Originally a seasonal ale but now only an occasional ale, Black Prince Porter brews with Bramling Cross and Goldings hops and also combines brown, chocolate, black and crystal malts to produce a dark rich ale with a roasted, vanilla aroma and a sweet chocolate, coffee flavour.

Bexley Brewery – Redhouse Premium Ale 4.2%
One of Bexleys core session ales and named after the famous Red House in Bexleyheath, home of William Morris, one of the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement. Redhoise is a darker Pale Ale combining Crystal malts with English Goldings hops for a richer flavour. This ale has a very clean finish and al at-hop bitterness.

BrewBuddies Brewery – Mosiac 4.3%
Brewed with Maris Otter pale ale malt and a touch of Crystal malt, this single hop beer is packed with the full on flavour of the Mosiaac hop. This beer exhibits multiple flavours from fruity tropical, mango and citrus to pine.

BrewBuddies Brewery – Session Ale 3.5%
BrewBuddies PA01 is a very light and refreshing pale ale. Brewed with Challenger bittering hops, Hallertauer Hersbrucker aroma hops and dry hopped with a mixture of Mosaic and Hersbruker it exhibits subtle bittering with a mild, floral and slightly fruity taste.

BrewBuddies Brewery – Pilgrum IPA 5.1%
Pilgrum has a distinct fruit and spice characteristics with pleasant lemon and grapefruit aromas. Verdant, berries and pears flavours in this beer. As a bittering hop it provides a refreshing, full-bodied and rounded bitterness.
